Title : LCCA Announces 2021 Convention Registration Gift
Sort Order : 1000
The 2021 convention registration gift is a limited-edition Lionel Bump-and-Go trolley made exclusively for the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) by Lionel to celebrate its 51st Convention in Scranton, Pa.  It is blue and yellow and has a "Scranton The Electric City" logo centered on each side. This is the Sixth convention trolley, adding to the Reno, Chicago, Boston, and Indianapolis recent editions in addition to the first LCCA trolley offered in 2009 Sacramento.  This Trolley as been assigned Lionel part number 2101270.

Artwork has just been approved for our 2021 registration gift Lionel trolley dressed in the colors of an historic Scranton trolley now undergoing restoration.  This trolley is modeled and specifically decorated to represent this specific color scheme.  To better reflect the #LCCA50+1 Scranton Convention, the car number was restated with this strange Covid year - 2021.  This trolley continues the tradition of highlighting its place in the registration gift series - and is noted as Registration Gift #21.  A similar design with reversed colors was produced as a banquet gift.

As described at Electric City Trolley Museum Vehicle Collection (ectma.org) -
"The Scranton Railway Co. ordered 10 wooden deck-roof streetcars, including #324, from J.G. Brill Co. in 1903. The railway company started modifying cars in this group to Pay-As-You-Enter-style configuration, beginning in 1916. At a later date, it modernized and simplified a number of these cars, rebuilding them with a plain arch roof and flat steel side sheathing. Despite this renovation, newer car types rendered car #324 surplus by 1941. It was stripped of components and sold off. It then served as a diner in nearby Gouldsboro, Covington Township, eventually being built into a larger restaurant building. The Electric City museum acquired and retrieved the carbody in March 2000 for eventual restoration. Car 324 is one of two Lackawanna County and northeast Pennsylvania trolley in the museum’s collection."

A limited quantity will be produced, so order early.  They are sure to sell out as have all LCCA earlier trolley offerings. Because we will not get to Scranton in 2021, the question arises: how will this registration gift compare to the one that will be offered when we return to Scranton in 2025? You will want the companion unit to this trolley when it arrives in 2025 - don't miss out on this one!

This trolley has been in production over the summer months and is now IN STOCK and Shipping NOW!!! This would be a really nice stocking stuffer for yourself or family member.
