As you know, these past months have been a tough time for our economy with rising inflation and the expenses related thereto. The LCCA has not been immune to these increases. In June of this year, I formed a committee consisting of myself, Past President Harry Hampson, President-Elect Mark Kempfer, and our Treasurer Don MacCormack, to review the club’s expenditures and our overall financial condition. What we found is all of our vendors have increased the cost of their services to the club.

LCCA Offers A United States Air Force Commerative Car. At our Omaha Convention one of the trips we intended to take was to the SAC air base outside of Omaha. We would tour the base and for those who wanted a keepsake, the LCCA had produced 350 commemorative cars. These cars, made in the US, highlight activities at the SAC base.

The LCCA has recorded a series of videos for our membership which you’ll find both entertaining and helpful. The club values our members and we want them to use all of the many benefits the club has to offer. The LCCA completed the initial series of short videos introducing many of the LCCA’s benefits and programs to both longtime members and those who have just joined. Other videos will follow. These videos will serve to peel back the first layer of how to effectively use your LCCA membership.

The 53rd LCCA National Convention held in Concord, NC in late July of 2023 was not only highly successful, but it was also noteworthily in so many ways. By the Numbers, 418 members registered (with over 800 in attendance). 2,810 tour seats were sold. 600 attendees were able to visit the Lionel Facility in Concord. The LCCA and its members celebrated this week with the introduction of a number of new and exciting products.
